Revival Groups

14 days. 14 steps. One mission: show them Jesus.

You Are a
Missionary!

You don’t need to be perfect.
You don’t need to have all the answers.
Jesus is simply looking for your YES.

You already have a mission field: your school, your team, your friends, your family, your workplace. Revival Groups are about taking action together! We want to destroy the fear around evangelism and for you to see that being a witness for Jesus can be simple, natural, and part of everyday life.

13 For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” 14 But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? 15 And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, “How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!”

Romans 10:13–15

Directions

  1. Find your Revival Group: at least 2 people.
  2. Decide when you will meet in person or virtually each day for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Commit to 14 consecutive days together.

Your 15-Minute Revival Group

Minutes 1–5: Look Back

Discuss how your previous action step honestly went.

Minutes 5–10: Look Out

Pray for your school, friends, family, coworkers, teachers, coaches, etc. who don’t have a relationship with Jesus.

The goal is to catch God’s heart for them!

Minutes 10–15: Look Forward

Discuss the next action step and pray for each other to move in boldness, compassion, and conviction.

15 minutes is the minimum: Go longer if you want!

After 14 Days

As a group, invite the Lord to direct you on what is next. Possible next steps:

  • Redo the 14 days with different topics
  • Continue meeting and change the format
  • Start a group initiative to creatively share the Gospel with others

Action Steps

One step each day. Open today’s step, take it, then talk about it with your Revival Group.

Days 1–7: Start the Conversation

Taking the first step!
Day 1: Encourage

Find someone and tell them something you genuinely appreciate about them.

Example

Go up and tell someone something that you notice about them that would build them up!

Goal

Look for opportunities to build someone up.

“Therefore encourage one another and build up one another, just as you also are doing.”
— 1 Thessalonians 5:11

Day 2: Serve

Do something helpful for someone without being asked.

Example

Notice your teacher is carrying a bunch of things and say: “Here, let me help you with that.”

Or clean up after practice when everyone else is leaving.

Or ask a friend: “Do you need help with that?”

Goal

Look for something you can do instead of waiting for someone to ask.

“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.”
— Mark 10:45

Day 3: Invite

Invite someone to hang out, eat lunch, practice, study, or do something with you.

Example

If you’re going to get lunch: “Hey, we’re grabbing food after school. You should come with us.”

Or: “We’re hanging out Friday night. Want to come?”

Goal

Be intentional about including people in your life.

“Accept one another, just as Christ also accepted us to the glory of God.”
— Romans 15:7

Day 4: Notice

Find someone who might feel alone, overlooked, or left out and intentionally talk to them.

Example

You see someone sitting alone at lunch. Instead of walking past them, sit down and say: “Hey, mind if I sit here?”

Or if someone is standing by themselves before practice: “Hey, what’s up? How’s your day going?”

Goal

Pay attention to people you might normally overlook.

“For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”
— Luke 19:10

Day 5: Ask

Ask someone how they are really doing and intentionally listen to their response.

Example

Instead of just saying: “How are you?” Ask: “No, seriously—how are you actually doing?”

If they open up, don’t immediately try to fix it. Just listen.

Goal

Show someone that you genuinely care about what is happening in their life.

“Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.”
— Romans 12:15

Day 6: Generous

Find someone you can be generous toward.

Example

Buy your friend their favorite drink and say: “I felt like Jesus wanted me to buy this for you.”

Or say: “I felt like Jesus wanted me to give you ______.”

Goal

Practice generosity and let someone know that God sees them.

“It is more blessed to give than to receive.”
— Acts 20:35

Day 7: Mention Jesus

Bring Jesus up naturally in a conversation that you initiate.

Example

Start a normal conversation with someone: “Hey, what are you up to this weekend?”

After they answer, you could say: “I’m going to youth group. I’ve actually been growing a lot in my faith lately.”

Goal

Get comfortable simply bringing Jesus into normal conversations.

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes.”
— Romans 1:16

Days 8–14: Take the Next Step

Start having conversations that require a little more courage.
Day 8: Pray for Someone

Choose one person and intentionally pray for them.

Example

Before your day: “Jesus, I pray for my friend today. Help them know that You love them. Give me an opportunity to encourage them.”

Then, if you get the opportunity, tell them: “Hey, I’ve been praying for you today.”

Goal

Begin seeing the people around you through God’s eyes.

“I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people.”
— 1 Timothy 2:1

Day 9: Ask About Faith

Ask someone if they ever think about God or faith. Let them talk. Don’t feel like you have to have the perfect answer.

Example

You’re hanging out with someone and the conversation gets deeper: “Can I ask you something random? Do you ever think about God or faith?”

If they say yes, ask: “What do you think about it?” Then share where you are in your relationship with Jesus.

Goal

Start a real conversation about faith.

“But sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you.”
— 1 Peter 3:15

Day 10: Offer to Pray

Ask someone if there is anything you can pray for them. If they say yes, pray for them right there!

Example

A friend tells you they’re stressed about their family. You could say: “I’m sorry you’re dealing with that. Can I pray for you right now?”

Then simply pray: “Jesus, I pray that You would give them peace and help their family. Let them know that You’re with them. Amen.”

Goal

Don’t just tell people you’ll pray for them. Actually pray.

“Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed.”
— James 5:16

Day 11: Bridge the Gap

Ask someone what is something they are in need of. Listen to their answer and offer to pray for them—believing that God will meet their need and reveal Himself.

Example

You could simply ask someone: “Hey, is there anything you are in need of?”

If they share something, you could say: “Would you be okay if I prayed for that right now?” Then pray with them.

Goal

Connect someone’s real-life need with the reality of Jesus.

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”
— Matthew 7:7

Day 12: Share Something Jesus Said

Ask God to show you a specific word of encouragement that someone might need. Share it with someone you feel God drawing you toward.

Example

You feel like someone needs to know that God hasn’t forgotten them. You could say: “This might sound random, but I felt like I should tell you that I don’t think God has forgotten you. What do you think about that?”

Don’t force it. Be humble and let them respond.

Goal

Practice listening to God and encouraging people with what you believe He is saying.

“But one who prophesies speaks to people for edification, exhortation, and consolation.”
— 1 Corinthians 14:3

Day 13: Jesus Loves You

Go up to someone and simply say: “Jesus loves you and sees you.”

Example

You don’t need to explain it or turn it into a long conversation. Just be bold enough to say it and let them respond however they want.

Goal

Practice confidently sharing the love of Jesus with someone.

“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
— Romans 5:8

Day 14: Keep Going

Look back over the 14 days with your Revival Group. Share:

  • What did you learn about yourself and God?
  • What did you see God do?
  • What was easy? What was difficult?
  • Who did God put on your heart?

Offer thanksgiving to God! Complete form below and share what God did in and through you!

The 14 Days Aren’t the End.

They’re the beginning of you living as a missionary in your world. Your school. Your team. Your workplace. Your family. Your friend group. Wherever you go, you carry Jesus with you!
